Verification Standards
Editorial Methodology & Hydraulic Data Standards
How we verify technical specifications, plot discharge flow curves, and enforce evidence transparency.
Evidence Verification Tiers
Every engineering specification on Pumpendium is assigned a transparent source tier:
- Manufacturer Technical Sheet (doc): Figures transcribed directly from official engineering submittals, factory curves, or technical cut sheets published by the pump manufacturer.
- Manufacturer Store Spec (mfr): Values listed on the manufacturer's official direct parts or product portal.
- Retailer Verified Spec (retail): Data confirmed across authorized wholesale plumbing distributors (e.g., SupplyHouse, PlumbersStock).
- Pumpendium Hydraulic Calc (calc): Mathematical derivations generated using documented fluid equations (such as Hazen-Williams pipe friction or battery amp-hour drawdown models).
- Unverified / Pending (unknown): Data awaiting secondary manufacturer confirmation.
Zero Fabricated Testing
We never claim destructive hands-on laboratory endurance testing, fictitious five-star ratings, or invented user ownership. We publish verifiable technical facts so homeowners and trade professionals can make sound engineering decisions.
